Founded in 1876, the University of Oregon is housed on a 295-acre campus along the Willamette River, with the majority of buildings located along East 13th Avenue. The films never captured the spectacularly offensive tone of the magazine’s glory days (it continued publication until 1998) and the name was licensed to a bunch of comedies of varying quality. The San Fransisco Zodiac killer has sparked numerous movies, but the 2007 David FIncher movie is based on the book by Robert Graysmith who has spent decades trying to crack the case. Tim Burton adapted this story of a man who is trying to connect with his dying father-a man who couldn’t help but exaggerate the stories of his life. This iconic movie which spawned a franchise that has spanned decades, was based on a book by a French author. It was sort of like the “double-secret probation” of location shooting, but the film’s producers gladly accepted the terms.
